The iron cross poker is nothing but a community card that is most commonly played using the rules of Texas Holdem poker, however there is significant difference between the two entities. In this variant of poker each member is provided with the five cards which are known as hole cards. The draw of the hole cards is followed by the beginning of the betting round. These cards are usually drawn in the cross fashion i.e. one card in the middle of the other 4 cards forming a cross.

The game begins by the dealt of the center card, this card is always included in the hand if each player. This card plays a lead role in the making of the best and worst hand. After this the other four cards are revealed one by one. Each player needs to reveal these cards at his/her turn and the value of the hand will be calculated after this. The player with best poker hand will be regarded as the winner. Hence, a player must have the capability to form the best 5 cards hand using the hole cards and the 3 out of that should be in horizontal or vertical alignment.
